A lovely chilled out place to take your dog for a pamper session. Kate and Katie love dogs and my eldest dog (who would not let anyone touch her very hairy feet previously) is now more than happy to let Katie give her a bath and pedicure 👍. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for an excellent groomers 🤗

I have been looking for somewhere to clip my dogs claws for some time. As everywhere I have been previously has not been a particularly good experience for my dogs, it was always an ordeal and I was never particularly impressed with the outcome either. My Mum took her dog for the full works at Upper Hound, he isn't the easiest dog and myself and my Mum were very impressed with the result, and little Oscar seemed happy too. So I took a leap of faith and booked in for my two to have their claws trimmed. The girls were so lovely from beginning to end. My oldest dog who is normally the sweetest boy, turns into an evil little monster if anyone goes near his claws... I was so surprised (and relieved) when I peeked through the window midway through his session to see him happily having his claws finished off! Both of my dogs were very happy in the company of the girls here, tails wagging, lots of cuddles, they actually seemed like they would be quite happy to stay the night! On top of this, they did a wonderful job, and finished off with a dremel (which I have tried to do myself before now and failed miserably) which I really like as it allows you to get as close as possible to the quick without causing any pain, and means no sharp edges on their claws. Honestly I can't recommend enough, I will be coming back, and I think next time we will go for having their teeth cleaned as well. Finding someone you can trust with your dogs is so important and I place full trust with Upper Hound :-)

Friendly and professional service with plenty of advice and love and care towards Harpur 🐕 he looked and smelt great, lovely trimmed nails and was smiling when we left! I would highly recommend!

Katie and Kate are fantastic. Would never go anywhere else! Fingal loves it there and always comes out happy, smart and smelling lovely!

Very friendly, welcoming, they listen and really do take great pride in their work and looking after your beloved pet. I trust them explicitly and I wouldn't go any where else. I have used other groomers in the area and Upper Hound are better than the rest, not that the others are doing anything wrong, just that Upper Hound do everything right :) - Thank you!!

Misty had her first visit to Upper Hound today and she’s come back with a big spring in her step, her cut looks amazing and I would recommended Upper Hound to all dog parents, Kate and Katie took time to learn about Misty and her idiosyncrasies and I will be coming back again and again.

My husband took our 12 week puppy for his 1st groom yesterday . We were both a bit apprehensive being a lively young puppy !!! Absolutely no concerns at all . Katie & Kate the 2 groomers show love & warmth to your pet & beautiful groom done . A short video was shown while our pup was having groom & picture taken on completion. Took Tully, a miniature schnauzer, who had turned into a furball as I couldn"t get an appointment at his usual groomers. The atmosphere was wonderfully calm and relaxed and they were very interested to find out exactly what we wanted. When he was finished he looked fantastic, his schnauzer 'eyebrows of wisdom' have never looked better. It's great to have Upper Hound in Cove, they obviously love their clients and offer an excellent service. We will certainly be back.

We took Oscar (2 years old cocker spaniel) for his first groom at The upper hound. They took great care of him, he was a little nervous but they took it slowly and at his pace. I will def be using them again. Highly recommend.
