My dog Alfie has been visiting here for a while now to have his teeth cleaned, he had his first groom here today, so pleased, he looks absolutely fantastic! The girls have done an amazing job, won't go anywhere else now, highly recommend!

Independent, kind, friendly and affordable groomers with the puppies and dogs best interest at heart. Superb service (de-shed, claw cutting, shampoo with natural products with a stress free blow dry). Charmed with a bow totally complete the groom. Perfect! They do get very busy so best to book in advance. Your doggo even gets their 5 mins of fame with their picture on their instagram page.

Did a great job with my 4 month old puppy. He enjoyed himself so much he wanted to go back inside.

Second visit for our border collie Charlie today and to say we are very impressed would be a massive understatement.. He went in looking like an overgrown bedraggled wookie and came out like a teddy bear! Fantastic job and would highly recommend.

The team at Upper Hound always provide an excellent service in grooming our cocker spaniel Hector to how we want him. He always leaves the salon clean and fresh and loves getting lots of fuss and attention from all of the team there! Everyone is lovely and friendly and treats our dog as one of their own 😊

Lydia is so much happier, we all are. She's cuddly and super speedy now she's not carrying that great big coat. Kate and Katie are our heroes and we honestly can't thank you enough. I've struggled with Lydia's coat for years and although they hadn't worked with a puli before Katie did her research and helped me massively with advice and support. When it came to chop day I couldn't have asked for anything more. It all comes down to trust, we've had some horrible experiences with groomers in the past and at Upper Hound I felt comfortable, reassured and most of all I trusted them 100%. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thanks girls 😊

We took our 8 month old Tibetan Terrier puppy, Daisy, for her first groom with Upper Hound Dog Grooming today. Daisy suffers with a little bit of separation anxiety, but as soon as she saw the lovely, blonde dog groomer, her tail started to wag and her worries melted away. I was feeling nervous to leave Daisy somewhere without me. But on walking away to my car, I could see through the window that the groomers were giving her cuddles. This made me feel assured that Daisy would be treated well. The groomer took lots of time to ask me questions about the groom and showed me some photos. Daisy has come home looking beautiful and smelling gorgeous - she has a new lease of life! We will definitely be coming back to Upper Hound next time. Thank you for making Daisy’s first groom so special. xx

I won't take my elderly statesman anywhere else. My first visit here and I'm a fan for life. Lovely kind staff who really make understanding your pet's needs a priority. Also very good value but I would have paid twice as much for the level of care Alfie got.

Kate and the staff are really friendly and you can tell that they have a genuine love of the animals and the work that they do. Our dog is having sonic air teeth cleaning at present and the change to her mouth is astounding.

We booked Daisy in for a full groom as she hadn't had one before and thought it would be a good chance to get a professional cut instead of the usual home clipper catastrophy. Kate has done an amazing job. Thanks to all the staff for looking after her and doing a cracking job. wholeheartedly recommended.

I started going to Kate when she told me that she did the dogs teeth, as my vet wanted to extract more than necessary because it was how their computer system was. I refused to let them take good teeth out and then I found Kate and she has done an amazing job on their teeth and they are so much better and the bad one fell out naturally. They love going to her she treats them as her own.

First visit here and really pleased with the service we received and the lovely staff...

Excellent service, really nice relaxed atmosphere, our dog Ruby’s tail didn’t stop wagging the whole time she was with them. Highly recommended

First time going to the groomers and he came out so happy and looking beautiful! Friendly staff made him feel at ease on arrival.
